You’re Not Alone, and You Have Options

Therapeutic ultrasound is completely painless, takes only 10 to 15 minutes per session, and has no downtime.

Therapeutic ultrasound is different from the diagnostic ultrasound you may associate with pregnancy or injury imaging. Instead of creating pictures, therapeutic ultrasound delivers sound energy deep into injured tissue to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and speed healing.

It’s often used alongside other treatments, stretching, orthotics, PRP, to shorten recovery time for tendonitis, bursitis, and soft-tissue sprains. Each session is painless, takes 10–15 minutes, and has no recovery time.

The first visit establishes whether therapeutic ultrasound is the right fit for your injury and, if so, how to integrate it with any other treatments you may need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Diagnostic ultrasound creates images for evaluation. Therapeutic ultrasound delivers deeper, more concentrated sound energy to stimulate healing in tissue.

Most patients feel a gentle warmth or nothing at all. A water-based gel is applied to the skin and the ultrasound head is moved slowly over the treatment area.

Most conditions respond within 6–10 sessions scheduled 2–3 times per week. We’ll reassess after a handful of sessions to make sure you’re progressing as expected.

Absolutely, that’s usually when it works best. We combine it with stretching protocols, orthotics, PRP, or shockwave depending on the condition, using each tool for what it does best.

Therapeutic ultrasound is very safe when performed correctly. It’s not used over active cancer sites, open growth plates in children, pacemaker areas, or during pregnancy.
