Aaron Leshikar, DPM, CWSP, FACCWS

About Dr. Leshikar

Dr. Leshikar earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in 2014. He then completed a rigorous three-year Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgical Residency at St. Vincent Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. During his residency, Dr. Leshikar received extensive training in advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, including Charcot reconstruction, limb salvage, pediatric flatfoot reconstruction, and the management of complex foot and ankle trauma. He is highly skilled in both the latest surgical techniques and comprehensive conservative treatment options for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.

With more than 10 years of experience, Dr. Leshikar has cared for patients in hospitals, multidisciplinary medical clinics, and private practice settings. His broad clinical background allows him to provide individualized, evidence-based care for patients of all ages and activity levels.

Dr. Leshikar is a Board Certified Wound Physician through the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) and is highly experienced in the treatment and healing of lower extremity wounds. His expertise includes advanced wound care, diabetic foot management, limb preservation, and limb salvage, helping patients achieve optimal healing while preventing complications whenever possible.

Dr. Leshikar is passionate about helping patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy most. With a strong background in athletics and an active lifestyle himself, he understands the importance of healthy, pain-free movement. Whether treating recreational athletes, active adults, or patients simply looking to walk comfortably again, his top priority is developing personalized treatment plans that help patients recover quickly and get back to living their best, most active lives.

His professional interests include the treatment of plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, heel pain, and other common foot and ankle conditions, as well as wound care, diabetic foot care, limb salvage and reconstruction, sports medicine, and minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery. He is committed to providing both conservative and surgical treatment options to help patients relieve pain, restore mobility, and return to their active lifestyles.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Leshikar enjoys spending time with his wife, their five children, and their three dogs. He enjoys spending time outdoors, boating, attending sporting events, and making memories with his family. He values an active lifestyle and brings that same enthusiasm for movement and wellness to the care of his patients.
