You’re Not Alone, and You Have Options

In-office imaging means you don’t have to schedule a separate appointment or wait days for results.

One of the most frustrating parts of a typical injury visit is being told you need imaging, and then driving to a separate facility, waiting for an appointment, waiting again for the radiologist’s read, and finally coming back to your doctor to talk about it. We cut all of that out.

Ironworks performs digital X-ray and musculoskeletal ultrasound in-office. Your images are available in seconds, reviewed by your doctor while you’re still in the exam room. For most injuries, you’ll have a diagnosis and a treatment plan before you leave.

Fractures and stress fractures

Bunion and hammertoe deformities

Arthritis and joint damage

Plantar fascia tears and tendon injuries (ultrasound)

Morton's neuroma (ultrasound)

Soft-tissue masses and cysts

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Since imaging is performed as part of your appointment with our doctors, no separate referral is needed.

Very little. A typical foot X-ray exposes you to a fraction of the radiation you’d get from a cross-country flight.

Yes. Bring it on a CD or have your previous provider send images to us electronically before your appointment.

MRI is reserved for complex soft-tissue injuries, suspected deep bone infections, or cases where ultrasound and X-ray don’t provide a clear enough answer. Ultrasound replaces MRI for many soft-tissue questions, which saves you time and money.

In-office X-ray and ultrasound are typically covered by insurance when performed for a medical indication. We’ll verify your specific benefits before the visit and explain any out-of-pocket costs upfront.
