Warning Signs

If you’ve been diagnosed with diabetes, a regular foot exam is not optional. It’s one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy and stay on your feet. Diabetes quietly damages the nerves and blood vessels in your feet over time, and that combination means small problems (a blister, a stepped-on pebble, a tight shoe) can turn into serious wounds without you feeling it.

Call us Immediately If

Any open sore, blister, or cut that hasn't healed in 7 days

Redness, warmth, or swelling on your foot

Any drainage from a wound

New numbness, tingling, or burning

Changes in skin color, particularly darkening
